Soil and Water Conservation Leadership Academy is an eight-hour training that will help build skills and enhance a participant's ability to lead conservation and community-based projects that will protect soil and water quality for future generations.
Topics covered will include: ND Century Code Soil Conservation Law, Supervisor Roles and Responsibilities, Ethical Leadership, Open Records, Effective Meetings, DART Program, Annual Plans of Work, and Watershed Hydrology.
This training will be held on Wednesday, October 8th, 2025, from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm CT at the 4 Bears Casino & Lodge in New Town, ND, with registration starting at 8:00 am.
Lunch will be provided.

PRE-REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED no later than Friday, September 26th and is limited to 25 participants.
Who should attend: Newly-elected and/or appointed Soil Conservation District Board members, Soil Conservation District staff, NRCS staff, Extension Agents, and others interested in watershed management and conservation.
