Extension professionals often bring people together to address community needs, lead meetings, and support collaborative decision-making. Effective facilitation creates the conditions for meaningful participation, productive conversations, and shared action.
This interactive workshop will equip participants with practical tools and strategies to facilitate with confidence. Participants will learn how to design purposeful meetings, encourage active participation, navigate challenging group dynamics, and guide groups toward meaningful decisions and next steps.
Whether you are new to facilitation or looking to strengthen existing skills, this workshop will provide techniques you can immediately apply to engage stakeholders and create greater community impact.
This workshop will be offered Wednesday, August 26th from 11:00AM–5:00PM CT and Thursday, August 27th from 8:30AM–3:00PM CT at the Magic City Discovery Center in Minot, ND.
Registration is $75 and includes lunch and materials for both days.
Please register by August 14, 2026.
